Please press on the BMW button above to find out what sort of things we are after. The life line of the project is your unwanted stuff. The future of the planet relies on these products being naturally 'digested' to allow for repair, reuse or recycling. Don't throw away items that can provide valuable education and fun, consider us and we will manage it and tap into the hidden potential in your waste.
Please press the button above to find out more about Reclaim Fun. This project is about you! Before you dispose of anything think of us! We are always looking for interesting unwanted items. These get used in the ReclaimFun project, where we let young people take the product apart and we 'shake the science out of it'. The item is repaired if possible, if not then the parts are reused or SORTED and recycled. They carefully takes things apart and explore whats inside and how it works.
This process makes you see the item in a whole new light. You see why the item has gone out of use. You see how much 'stuff' is inside the product and what this 'stuff' can do. You see the science behind it all and you see how much effort goes into SORTING it. A report is then written and submitted to the manufacturer of the item, providing a link back between consumer and producer.
We can offer advice at home (Home Ed), kits for schools, and workshops at the TimeMachineFun centre.
This is the next level, 'Its Time Academy workshops are aimed at children over 12 years old and adults are welcome too. The most mature person to the academy was 93!
Here you either steam punk (re-fashion) the item to make it trendy, or you unleash your creativity and make a hybrid product. This includes aspects of art, craft and design.
A wide range of experiences are available, from the 'designer designer' project, to helping with emotional simulators, like a spitfire simulator. All projects form part of a showcase and competition to acknowledge the efforts of the Academy participants.
After developing the ability to 'tinker', you progress to the 'enriching' process of making, designing, constructing and testing.
Stepping stones for the future.
Simple, you give your clutter, unwanted stuff, broken stuff to us, instead of dumping. (Click on BMW to find out more)
Young people explore, mend, reuse or recycle. They capture the living history in 3d. They write a report to manufacturers. Simples!
